Summer is at its height and that’s a perfect time to plant, pick and taste on Bloomah’s City Farm and Nature Sanctury.
Not to mention to meet and feed our resident chickens – including two adorable just-hatched chicks.
If you and your kids crave an adventurous nature trip in the middle of the city, Bloomah’s Open Farm Event is for you.
Event Details
Date: Sunday July 28, 2024
Time: Two seperate events:
3:00-4:30 This session is booked out
4:45 – 6:15 This session is booked out
Who: Moms, Savtas, Aunties. or any other ladies. along with any kids who they consider adorable (ages 3-120)
Where: Bloomah’s City Farm and Nature Sanctuary AKA my backyard in Ramat Beit Shemesh A
Cost: NIS 60 per adult.
NIS 50 per child.
Adults accomapanying 2 or more paying children get the children’s rate.
Kids under 3 free.
Every paritcipant will take home a seed/cutting of their choice planted in a small pot.
Note: Space is extremely limited and we usually book out in advance.
What’s in Store for You at the Open Farm Event?
- Mini Tour of Bloomah’s: A regalar RBS backyard that’s been transformed into a thriving urban farm, where we produce 30+ different kinds of fruit, vegetables and grains, as well as herbs, spices, sugar, honey, eggs, olive oil, wine and more! You’ll meet some cuddly feathered friends at this party.
- Harvest time: G-d willing, we will harvest fresh tomatoes, berries, eggs, honey, sugar cane, peppers, okra, squash, spices and a few suprises. Discover some common easy-grown plants that do amazing things.
- Plant: Everyone will get a small pot, some soil and their choice of seed or cutting – to plant and take hom.
- Taste: Seperating Trumos and Maaseros, so that we can all taste. It’s not a party without some treats.
